By default, Barkley HQ will display its calendar in Day view. It will show your employee columns along with their appointments depending on how many employees you have on your system.
For your convenience, you may also change the calendar to show your booking in week view.
To do this, simply click on the View option and select Week.
If you have more than 1 employee on your system, it will not display your complete week view on the screen. Use the scroll feature to move the calendar left and right to view your complete week.
How to filter the Calendar by Employee
Follow the steps below if you only want to see one employee at a time on the Calendar.
This is useful if you want to see what a specific employee has booked for the week.
Step 1: On the calendar, the controls at the top, if you have more than one employee available for the time your calendar is currently showing you will be able see a drop down box, from here you can choose an Employee and be able to see only their Bookings.
How to make a booking
Making a booking on Barkley HQ is simple. This keeps your business organised and allows you to plan your day more efficiently.
Follow the steps to create a booking:
Step 1: Go to the Bookings tab and select New.
Step 2: The Booking Wizard will appear. Start by entering your client details. When you start typing your client name, Barkley HQ will begin searching its database to find your entered name.
Step 3: Once your client is found, select their pet that they are booking then click Next. Their previous services will display to allow you to rebook any of their previous services, simply click the rebook button to change the status to ‘Yes’. If you need to choose a new service, click Next.
Step 4: In Services, you will see the service selection criteria. You can either find your service by locating it from the Services list or you could narrow your search by inserting a category and the services will only display those that are linked to the selected category.
Step 5: Once the service is found, click Add to show the selected service on the description list. If you would like to add more services, simply select from the services drop down list and click Add. To remove a service, click the remove icon on the right. Once done, click Next.
Step 6: Ensure the employee, date and time is correct, and once confirmed, click Next.
Step 7: Lastly you will see the comment page. If you have any comments to add, simply type it into the comment box and once done, click Save.
Step 8: The booking will now appear on your calendar.
How to move bookings
Barkley HQ allows you to change your booking time and employee from simply dragging it from the calendar or going into the booking itself.
Within the same day:
If you are moving your booking within the same day to a different time or employee, simply drag and drop the booking into the new time slot.
Different day:
If you are moving the booking to a different day, you may change the time within the Booking Wizard’s Time and Employee by double clicking on the booking or by searching it. Once the new time and date is set, click Save.
How to print the calendar
Barkley HQ is a cloud based software so printing your calendar is as easy as printing any web page. Most commonly the shortcut CTRL + P is used to bring up the print menu.

Searching for bookings on Barkley HQ is easy. All bookings are recorded and even cancelled bookings will have a reference. If you need to find your previous booking records they will always be there.
Follow the steps to to search your bookings:
Step 1: Go to the Bookings tab and select Search Booking.
Step 2: A list of bookings will appear showing the latest bookings made on the system. To search for a particular booking, you may use the client’s name, booking number, date, etc. in the Search field to narrow down your search results. Select on the booking if you wish to edit any details.
How to update services in an existing booking
Barkley HQ allows you to edit and make changes to existing bookings. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Double click on the booking that you would like to edit. The booking wizard will appear. Click edit.
Step 2: To change a booked service, click on the Services tab, highlight the booked service and click on remove icon. Once removed, you can choose a new service.
Step 3: To add new service choose the proper category then select the new service. Once you added the new service or services click save.
How to view your calendar
You may view your calendar anytime by either clicking on the calendar icon on the menu bar or going to the Bookings tab and selecting Calendar.
Resource and Room Calendar
Want to know what Resource’s and Room’s are being used for the day?

Step 1: Click the Bookings Tab and select Resource Calendar
Step 2: Choose the correct day, you will be able to see what resources are being used at what times during that day.
Step 3: If you just want to concentrate on one Resource or Room, select the filter on the top drop down box. Select the Resource or Room you wish to view. The Calendar will only show you the one Resource or Room you have selected.
